Fall Prevention Begins at Home.

Factors that help ensure providing a home safe from falls are good lighting and clear pathways.

Grab bars in the bathroom help prevent falls in the shower or tub.

Elders are more prone for falls because of poorer eyesight, hearing, balance and strength.

For more safety information see my book: Healthcare Handbook for Senior Citizens and Their Families,                                                   which can be purchased on Amazon.com.

Alzheimer’s Association

I just returned from an Alzheimer’s Association presentation. I recommend it for anyone who has the opportunity to attend one. I think everyone would benefit by going to one; it is  not just for someone who has a family member who is affected by Alzheimer’s.

Check out their website: www. alz.org. They provide support, education, consultation, and advance research.
