A medical concern today is increasing antibiotic resistant infections. One precaution that all of us can take is faithful hand washing.
It is important to wash your hands frequently throughout the day. Especially wash them before you eat and after you use the bathroom. Because there are people who do not wash their hands in a public restroom, I always use a paper towel to open the door when leaving the restroom, so I do not pick up the germs from the non washers. I like the establishments who leave a wastebasket next to the restroom door so it is easy to dispose of my paper towel.
Next week, I will discuss another precaution which is proper use of antibiotics.
